What's On The Olympics Tonight?

The 2018 Winter Games are officially underway, and the big deal tonight is the Opening Ceremony.

As we told you before, South Korea is more than a half day ahead of Eastern Time in the United States - and that means you have to stay up late to catch the action live. But there are some events you can watch and not lose sleep over. Here's a look at what Olympic action you can catch tonight and this weekend - and how to watch:

The Government Shutdown…That Isn’t?

With another government shutdown underway, the Senate took a key procedural vote on whether to move forward with a big budget bill overnight. The government ran out of money at midnight, Eastern time.

Why did this happen? Kentucky Senator Rand Paul used a procedural maneuver to delay the Senate vote. Speaking passionately on the Senate Floor, Senator Paul pointed out that both parties ought to be ashamed of a bill that balloons spending on the backs of taxpayers.

Delay aside, shortly after 1:30am ET, the Senate voted 240-186

Secret Apple iOS code turns up online in major leak

Secret Apple programming code that powers up the proprietary software on iPhones was leaked online Thursday -- a breach that could lead to hackers uncovering additional vulnerabilities.

The code allows all iPhones and iOS devices, including iPads, to turn on. It's the first process that runs when the devices are switched on. They are calling this the biggest leak in history.

Amazon Prime to offer two-hour Whole Foods delivery

Amazon delivery is coming to Whole Foods.

Amazon plans to roll out two-hour delivery at the organic grocer this year to those who pay for Amazon’s $99-a-year Prime membership. Amazon said deliveries will start Thursday in Austin, Texas; Cincinnati; Dallas; and Virginia Beach, Va. The service will be nationwide this year, the company said.

An App May Help Track The Flu

The Flu

Researchers at the University of Iowa say it might be possible to track flu outbreaks earlier than we think.

In a new report, the authors tracked data from a smartphone app called Kinza that allows users to take their temperature, record their symptoms and keep track of other health-related information.

To give you an idea, smart thermometers over 8 million temperature readings generated by almost 450,000 unique devices between last August and December. User can provide other information as well.
